J. Thomas, Jr.
I am a Viet Nam veteran, former member of the US Army and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO., I first started riding in my teens borrowing motorcycles from any friend who would let me. As I grew older I never lost the desire to ride but the responsibility of raising a family made me put the idea of buying my dream motorcycle on the back burner.
I moved to Little Rock in 2005 for a new job with Homeland Security and found myself smack in the middle of some of the best riding country I have ever seen. I was finally in a position to buy the motorcycle I always wanted and started with a 2006 Harley Heritage Softail Classic. At the same time I discovered the Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club and joined the Little Rock Chapter in January 2006. I have yet to regret either decision, I have met a whole new group of friends from chapters across the country and am still meeting more. I retired this summer for hopefully the last time and my retirement plans include riding my Harley and representing the Buffalo Soldiers.
